The mission of Landmarks Foundation is to preserve, interpret, and present Alabama’s architecture, history, and culture. This is accomplished by growing and supporting community preservation efforts and by welcoming visitors to more than fifty 19th and early 20th century buildings which we maintain as a museum. The Executive Director is responsible for providing innovative leadership, expertise and overall  strategic direction for all aspects of operations, finances, planning, promotion, and fundraising for  Landmarks Foundation.

The Executive Director will provide focused strategic direction and will build the staff, partnerships, programs, and earned revenue to create greater local impact, membership engagement, community interest, financial self-sufficiency, and partnerships with local, state, and national preservation

The position manages full-time employees, as well as a part-time staff and volunteers. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors of the Landmarks Foundation and will serve to actively contribute to the planning efforts of the board. Salary compensation ranges from $72,000.00-$85,000.00, subject to collective qualifications and commensurate with experience and includes health insurance and 401(k) benefits.
