Salary: $3,631–$4,476 per month (plus full state benefits)
The Tennessee State Museum is seeking a Graphics Designer 1 to produce complex designs used in professional publications and presentations, entire magazines, magazine advertisements, publication covers, manuals, slide presentations, conference materials, displays, and brochures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with clients and vendors to develop ideas, obtain clarification, gather specifications, and recommend the best medium for graphic arts projects or special events.
- Designing and preparing visual products for print and digital publications by photographing and scanning objects, arranging images and copy, conceptualizing the best way to convey the client’s message, and drawing preliminary and detailed examples.
- Utilizing computer graphic design, photo editing, and illustration software programs to scan two-dimensional images and color them according to project specifications.
- Estimating size, time, cost, resources or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Keeping up to date on software, trends, styles, paper, printing and digital techniques.
