Membership & Brick Services Coordinator, The National WWII Museum - New Orleans, LA

    The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a Membership and Brick Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Charter Membership, the Membership & Brick Services Coordinator works as part of a team to assist The National WWII Museum with processing and maintaining accurate Charter Member, Patriots Circle, and Tribute Products gifts. This position ensures that all associated gifts are reviewed, coded, and processed in an accurate and timely fashion which is a critical facet of annual giving.

    Requirements

    • Process Charter Membership and Patriots Circle gifts on a daily basis from daily check logs, web transaction reports, and onsite sales. 
    • Ensure accuracy of all gifts uploaded into Commerce and Raiser’s Edge databases and collaborate with accounting on month-end reconciliation.
    • Respond to bank chargeback notifications and tracking donor adjustments, as necessary. Prepare, distribute and track notification letters to donors informing them of the chargeback for in-house donations.
    • Pull, format, and distribute weekly reports on Members who visit the Museum from Visitor Services for import into database for Charter Members and manually tracking in database for Patriots Circle. 
    • Pull, format, and distribute monthly requests for information from Membership database for Patriots Circle, Car Donation Program, and Planned Giving.
    • Receive incoming weekly package from processing center distribute gifts for check logs and research as necessary. Distribute original artifacts, photos, and books to Membership Fulfillment Coordinator for follow-up.
    • Assist with scheduled brick and paver installation, mapping, and acknowledgement of brick install.
    • Assist with responding to incoming calls, email, source material, and general correspondence related to the Charter Member, Patriots Circle, and Tribute Products programs.
    • Provide support to the Membership and Brick Services Onsite Sales Coordinator at the Guest Services Desk, assisting with sales of Memberships and Tribute Product.
    • Provide support during special events for all events and fundraising activities. Some events and activities will require work beyond a 40-hour work week and on weekends.
    • Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Charter Membership.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years’ experience in non-profit development.
    • Extensive knowledge of computer software for development, preferably in Raiser’s Edge, and proficiency in database analysis and reporting.
    • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
    • Initiative, organizational skills, and good judgment.
    • Ability to work with others.
    • Ability to wok on multiple assignments under pressure and to consistently meet deadline schedules.
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that goes beyond a 40-hour work week including weekends, and evenings.
    • Ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with external constituencies and prospective donors.
