    BRAHM (Blowing Rock Art & History Museum) seeks a strategic partner to help advance the mission and vision of the museum through development initiatives and programs. The Associate Director of Development will ideally be a trained fundraising professional who works well in an environment that values teamwork and collaboration. The Associate Director will be a builder of relationships, outgoing, and engaged in the BRAHM and Blowing Rock communities to help cultivate support and strengthen the museum’s development effort.  

    This is an exciting opportunity to advance the museum and guide its growth in the coming years through a multifaceted development program. Membership development and event planning will also be important components of this position requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and multitasking. Fundraising in partnership with the Executive Director is a key component of the job, requiring collaboration and teamwork, and a genuine interest in people and the community. 

    The Associate Director will join a passionate and talented staff and work closely with the Executive Director and the Board to develop fundraising strategy and an annual plan, manage donor cultivation activity, membership programs, sponsorships and grant writing initiatives. The Associate Director will find an eager and supportive Board and staff, and a friendly, relaxed work environment that values hard work and open communication. The High Country of North Carolina is rich with arts and “maker” traditions, beautiful mountains and four-season recreation. The Blowing Rock region is growing rapidly and is seeing an influx of potential new donors and supporters of BRAHM.

    The anticipated salary is $50,000-$60,000, plus benefits package depending on qualifications. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
