    This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Division African American Heritage Commission. 

    The Executive Assistant for the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Office of Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion will be responsible for supporting the administrative functions of the office and its affiliated commissions (N.C. African American Heritage Commission and N.C. American Indian Heritage Commission). Duties are as follows:
    40%--Logistical support: Offer support for office programs, meetings, and travel. This shall include managing calendar and travel arrangements for Deputy Secretary, supporting commission directors in scheduling meetings, managing travel arrangements for commission staff, and helping to coordinate program and meeting logistics.
    35%--Paperwork and forms: Manage, organize, complete, process, and review a variety of paperwork and forms for the office. This shall include managing travel forms, completing requests for assembly, managing and reviewing procurement card logs, processing invoices, and drafting and monitoring contracts and memorandums of understanding and agreement.
    15%--Supplies and materials: Maintain and manage supplies and procurement orders. This shall include creating an inventory of supplies and materials, maintaining that inventory, and executing orders through departmental e-procurement system.
    7%--Budget management: In partnership with leadership, help manage commission budgets. This shall include managing, monitoring, and updating operational and grant budgets.
    3%--Information management: Support office in maintaining and sharing select information. This shall include documenting and distributing minutes at some meetings, including formal meetings of the N.C. African American Heritage Commission and the N.C. American Indian Heritage Commission.
