LaPaglia Scholarship for Historic House Museums

The Historic House Museums Affinity Group (HHMAG) is pleased to announce the availability of one scholarship for Historic House Museums. The scholarship award is $400 and can be used to pay registration, travel and lodging.

Those eligible for the LaPaglia Scholarship are:
a) staff members and volunteers who work at small historic house museums.

Eligibility:
a) Must be a current Individual or bundled member of an Institutional member of SEMC.
b) Not received a SEMC scholarship in past three years
c) Incomplete applications will not be considered. All parts of the application must be sent as a single submission on-line package.

Instructions:
a) Complete the On Line application form below
b) Complete the narrative questions below
c) Attach Your resume
d) Attach One (1) letter of support from your museum sponsors and/or museum director.
e) Attach a copy of your museum's most recent budget

Criteria:
The following factors may be considered by the committee in judging applications: a) financial need; b) evidence that the annual meeting answers applicant’s needs and concerns; c) professional reference; d) clarity of application.

Deadline and Notification:
Applications must be submitted online by Monday, August 15, 2011.
Applications will be reviewed by the HHMAG scholarship committee and all applicants will receive notification in the mail by Wednesday, August 31. The recipient must review an HHMAG sponsored session, which will be posted in the HHMAG newsletter “The Rag.” They are also required to attend the HHMAG Reception.
